Hydrapool on Umbrel

Yesterday I was able to get Hydrapool running as a native Umbrel app, and after a lot of debugging I finally got it installed, connected, and began mining with a Bitaxe.

Since Hydrapool is a 256 Foundation project, I wanted to ask what the proper protocol is for contributing something like this. Should Umbrel support (and other additions) eventually be proposed back to the main project, or should I maintain it separately as an external integration?

Would love to contribute to this and other projects, just want to ensure that I’m not inadvertently stepping on any toes in the process.

That’s great news! I have been struggling to find the time to make this happen.

A PR to the hydrapool repo will be awesome, we can then incorporate building the umbrel images into our release tools as well.

Thanks for improving hydrapool!

Excellent work! We have been wanting to have an Umbrel/Start9 app but we needed someone from the community to step up and run point on it. So hats off to you for doing it. As Jungly mentioned, a PR would be a great next step I think. Keep up the great work.

Thank guys. The thing I love about each of the foundation projects is that the consistent theme is “here take this, and build something great.” That’s really the reason I wanted to devote some time towards progressing things and Hydrapool felt like the right place to start.

Once I get things further along and dialed in I’ll submit a PR.
